this was our second visit to this location, and it was just a good as the first time. Momz loves their Menudo, says it doesn't even compare to any other that she's had. I always go for the enchiladas, and they didn't disappoint. It's a...short walk from where the cruise tender drops you off, and gets very busy at lunch time. Excellent service, and very tasty food. if you like mexican food, you're going to love this placeMore

This place was awful all around! First red flag was a $5 charge for chips and salsa, second was a $5 charge to share a meal, we should have left then. The food was mediocre at best. My $16 meal of a chicken tostada and...rice was tiny and flavorless and I had to ask for salsa which didn’t help with the flavor at all. Our party of 8 ordered 6 items and the bill came out to $193 which included an added gratuity that was definitely not deserved! The service was non-existent and we had to ask multiple times for everything. Don’t eat here, it’s not worth your time or money!!More

I do not understand the high ratings this place has received. I have lived everywhere from California to New Hampshire and I can honestly say this is the worse Mexican food I have EVER had (and I have 40+ years' experience)! It was lunch on...October 5, 2023. We each ordered a (single) chicken enchilada combination plate (rice and beans). Not only was the order not delivered as requested, but the corrections took forever (example: I asked for tomato, lettuce and sour cream at order, but it did not come. When reminded, it still took at least 15 more minutes. The quality was horrendous. Two small combo plates with one budweiser and one glass of wine was $49.50. Avoid this place if you value your hard earned money!More

Had a pleasant time here. We had two of the seafood dishes. The Mahi Mahi with sauce (Pescado Veracruz on the menu) and the Mojarra Frita (fried, whole tilapia). Both were great and the salsa Veracruz was delicious. Both fish tasted fresh. All of the...employees were friendly and attentive. There is a full bar and we got margaritas which were also very delicious.More

While on a day trip to Avalon, we had the opportunity to try a couple of restaurants with this being one of them. The service was about average for a crowded lunchtime seating. The food was above average with. A good menu selection. The location...and atmosphere was wonderful with, however because it was an open air restaurant, there were a great number of bees, interrupting our meal.More

Happened on Mi Casita while walking to hotel. Perfect timing ahead of a dinner rush. Tasty margaritas, great calamari appetizer and delicious entrees. Portions were huge...hated to leave so much uneaten but couldn't take it back to the room.

The staff was super friendly but if you're already accustomed to great Mexican food (i.e. living in California or Arizona) this may not live up to your expectations. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes, lacked the fresh taste of house made.

Mexican food is our go to choice when traveling. This lovely place is just off the main waterfront area of beautiful Avalon. We wandered in at lunch time, they were just starting to get busy-ish. We had a table near the window, and could people...watch. My companion ordered the pozole, as it's hard to find on a menu in our area. I had enchiladas. She quickly declared it was the best pozole she'd ever had, and she's had some good pozole. wasn't a drop left in her bowl, I'm pretty sure she thought about ordering 'seconds'. My enchiladas were pretty great too, sauce had just the right amount of spice. Service was great, people were friendly. All in all it was a great experience, and we will definitely visit again if we find ourselves on the island again.More

Prompt service. Excellent attentiveness. Good food & drink (the piña coladas are moreish), all reasonably priced. Authentic decor and an all-round great dining experience in a lively, bustling restaurant. Good fun!

This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST MEXICAN restaurant on island. Service was HORRIBLE I hate to complain. But I mean seriously. Wth. The owner or whatever rude wench with her wannabe fake smiled self went to a table that just walked in helped them did...everything for them and we had been sitting for 20 minutes not even a water. No one asked us if we needed anything and we previously said we were ready to order. Everyone walked by, no one asked if we wanted anything not even the fake grinning lady!! Then the food came, 20 dollars plus, for the reheated days and days old fajitas!!! Nasty watery beans and disgusting over microwaved fries for the side, how do you mess this up!?! Omg so gross my dogs would not touch it and they eat their own poop. The plate was the only hot dish the food was dried out as the microwave doesn't do a great job 😃. DO BETTERMore

We took the day to visit Catalina off our cruise. The smell from Mi Casita drew us in. The enchiladas were yummy and I had a margarita to wash it down. Great food! Would highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful pre-marathon dinner here and was pleased with the really nice service, and simple but nice food at a decent price, which is not something I can say with most Catalina restaurants.

Loved, loved the taco specials. Combo of hard taco inside of soft taco! Smaller size portion for price but very good. The chips and salsa were great but the cinnamon tortilla ice cream dessert was meh, but all other items were good.
