Had a business dinner, good restaurant, excellent service, offer good fish, which seems to be hard to find in Alger. Offer beer and local wine and a fantastic chocolate coulant. The Béarnais (as it should be spelt!) is situated right in the town centre just off the main drag. The cuisine is clearly French at heart, but with many Algerian touches - or maybe it is Algerian with French touches! For instance, I have never eaten Duck with Honey in France.
Therre is quite a "happening" feel to the Béarnais...
