What a delightful place to eat, wonderful service, delicious food and the most perfect surroundings - what more can I say. Its a must if you are looking for somewhere special to dine
Delicious tagines, cous cous and pastries. We ate here for one dinner, one lunch and four breakfasts. Delicious. Also, the kitchen is spotless! Service is impeccable. Eat up on the roof terrace if you can and watch the sun set.
The best thing about this restaurant is the location in the beautiful Riad which has been restored beautifully. You can choose to dine either at the rooftop (preferred) or near the courtyard on the ground floor. The traditional Moroccan food is good, but nothing to write home about. The tajines were the best and the salads were pretty good. There... More
This is the restaurant of the homonym riad in the Medina of Marrakech. Because of its excellent reputation I reserved a table in the occasion of the visit of a dear friend, architect in London, to whom at the same time I wanted to show the splendor of a beautiful traditional riad in Morocco and to taste the excellence of... Great dinner with a traditional Moroccan base and then some. One of the best dinners of our trip. Book ahead for a place on the roof terrace for a relaxing, atmospheric and delicious meal.
This is one the restaurants in Marrakech with the best set of reviews in Tripadvisor, and altogether I think that it is worth this position, or nearly so, depending on what you are looking for. You should obtain precise information on the location. Bab Doukala is crowded, and you might miss the sign for Derb Hotel. Hint: some maps for... More
This was our best meal in Morocco. The service was excellent and the setting was extremely romantic, traditional Moroccan decor done very tastefully. The menu is set and you receive many courses, so my advice is to pace yourself and don't feel bad about not finishing everything (no one possibly could) even if you really want to because it's so... The four of us did not book and only found the details of the restaurant on the day after searching trip advisor . It was difficult to find, with only a small name plate next to the door (which is down a narrow alley). We arrived at the door at quarter to ten and pressed the door bell to be... More
On a 3 day trip to Marrakech, we dined at the Riad Kniza on our last night. It is a grand riad, beautifully restored, but perhaps slightly impersonal compared to where we stayed (Riad Dar Anika - see seperate review). We were put in a private alcove, apart from other diners and overlooked from the main foyer - it was... More
Its a beautiful Riad - lovingly restored, which the owners proudly will show you around before you eat. The meal is traditional Moroccan food, with a chicken pastilla (pie) to start - be sure you like cinnamon as its used extensively. If you don't they'll give you another dish. The Tagines are all good - lamb with a sweet sauce... More
