During my holiday with my family in Marrakesh we have been twice! The food is extremely tasty and fresh, the atmosphere is fancy and it's a nice break from the crowded medina. The first time we have been we just had the mezze's (lebanese starter) differents dishes light but soo tasty! Around 10.30pm two belly dancers do an exhibition, it's... More

We booked a table for 8pm on a Friday through our hotel having read the great reviews about Azar. This is an upmarket restaurant which you can see and feel as you approach it. Once inside it is quite dark but has a romantic atmosphere with the candles. The decor is amazing. There is a nice selection of cocktails. The... More

Definitely worth adding to your to-do list for Marrakech. Out of this world decor plus the best food we had in the city. combo deals of 9 mezze, 2 mains and desserts for 600dh for two. The chicken livers were very tasty as were the Rikalat pastries filled with halloumi. Chicken tagine with preserved lemons also highly recommended. Belly dancers... More

Nice food but London prices. Think the place is TA over-rated for people looking for a 'nice'/'romantic' experience. The show (~10:15pm) is fun and absorbs some of the cost of the food/drink but still very expensive for what is a cheap town. Go in the knowledge that you're getting a pricey, modern, chic Morrocan experience and am sure there there... More

We eat from here (usually by delivery) at least once a week and it is quite simply extraordinary. It is as good if not better than the best Lebanese restaurants in London or Paris and for subtlety of flavour and richness of taste - it beats pretty much everything else in Marrakech hands down. Love it

This place is great! I tried the chicken liver (i know - doesnt sound appetizing), but it was phenomenal. The food was well seasoned and well presented The staff was super friendly, and the ambiance is wonderful. I would highly recommend!

Great food, belly dancers for entertainment and a bar downstairs that played music. Excellent value for money and right in the heart of Marrakech too.

A place with excellent food, good service and decent ambience. It's the food that makes Azar well worth a visit, we started with 8 mezzes (be warned they are large) then went on the have mixed grill, shawarma (the Iron Man reference had the kids very excited) and the beed fillet (x2). All fabulous. By time we had worked our... More

This place just thinks it's a bit cool. The chefs are good, perhaps very good, but the decor is a bit naff, the chairs are awful little bowls and rather hard to get out of, and it's excessively dark. Add in the unexpected and unwanted intrusion of loud music and belly dancers, which did a pretty good job of emptying... More

I was recommend Azar by a friend and I was not disappointed! We booked a table for 8.30pm on the day and when we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff. The building and interior are spectacular, the lift to the downstairs bar is fantastic (you will have to go to find out why ;)) It is expensive, but... More
