In the middle of the medina, in a real alley is the very nice restaurant behind a door you would not expect! The dinner, after a glass of prosecco and amuse of the house is really good! We had ordered the harira soup, chef's salad and homemade pecorino chicken ravioli with parmesan. Delicious! Ratio food price is ok, but for... More

Eat here food and service and ambience perfect! Even catered for a fussy vegan! The staff even gave us a big serving of their bread to take away!

We dined at this restaurant three nights and can not find fault. The staff are extremely polite and efficient. The food is very good quality and of a high standard. The theme is Italian with Moroccan recipes also. Italian wines are available but we had a Moroccan Terre Rouges which was delicious and at 300 dirhams, very good value for... More

I was trying to find somewhere good to eat that didnt just have good food and so chose Pepenero. We did find it very hard, (down alleyways), to find so i would recommend a guide. Beware asking a local though as they tried to charge us a fortune. Inside is amazing. You could eat 'outside', which wasnt really outside, it... More

My experience was a nice dinner; kind of romantic atmosphere, fast and kind service fast, good food (shoulder of lamb recommended). They offered us an "amuse-bouche" and glasses of sparkling wine. In the end they, again, offered morrocan patisserie. Overall, a good choice. Don't expect french cuisine standards, but enjoy the food. In my opinion, worthy. Costed something like 55-60... More

Offering both Moroccan & Italian menus, this restaurant strives to be a high end option in Marrakech. And it offers a nice break from the tagine overload. It is quite good but still not ready for a Michelin star. We both had the filet which was perfectly cooked. My title tips the hat to the waiter that stepped into the... More

We went to Pepe Nero having perused the reviews. It was easier to find following the signs than we expected. The offer of a guide was really helpful, but we ddn't need it. The setting was amazing, and the welcome glass of prosecco gratefully received. I had the Moroccan salads and lamb and my husband the salmon carpaccio and John... More

Upon arrival at Pepe Nero, the interior is very impressive but from then on we were disappointed. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted and when taken to our table we were not seated in the courtyard as was specified on our confirmation. The starter of Moroccan salad was quite nice, however the main of lamb tagine was very underwhelming... More

The restaurant is set in a Riad, and is stunning, as well as being very popular. We dropped in without a reservation at around 7:30pm, and they were fully booked. Fortunately they fitted us in, as long as we could leave by 9:30, which suited us anyway. We only wanted a main course, yet they still provided us with complimentary... More

When you are italian and you re living abroad your last choice for dining is going for an italian restaurant. Usually italian way of cooking deserves too many original products not easy to find abroad and so experience is ruling on this issue. When I've received the suggestion of Pepe Nero from usual gourmand suspects I was a bit surprised... More
