Stopped briefly for a coffee and cake - we were not disappointed - am amazing selection and chocolate éclair was to die for!
Upon entering you are confronted by an array of delicious looking cakes, savouries and chocolates...an awesome selection. True it is not cheap...but if you need a dose of public self-indulgence then sitting with a croissant jambon, a pain aux raisin and a decent cup of coffee is just what the doctor ordered! Pamper yourself...head to the Patisserie Colbert.
This small patisserie is a delight. Cool and airy with a selection of truly scrumptious cakes and pastries. It is expensive, but everything is exquisite. Definitely the place to go if you need a treat. The ice cream is pretty good too!!
This was recommended by the guide books & I can see why, lots of colourful cakes on display to eat in or take away. Worth a visit.
After ruff traveling in Madagascar for n few weeks we were very impressed by the high standard and good food at the Colbert Patisserie. Prices were high. We were not staying at the Colbert but the staff was friendly and eager to please Good experience!
Amazing selection of different pastries and ice cream, not to mention a wonderful tea and coffee place. Nice location, great to grab a quiet, upscale bite. I suggest the namesake cake and coffee. They also are a chocolatier and their chocolates make great gifts for friends!
The pastries at the Colbert are seriously good - we had almond pain au chocolat warmed up, and it was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. Hot chocolate wasn't bad, but nowhere near hot enough. The cafe itself is nicely laid out, but the one thing that spoilt our visit was that they had the air conditioning on at... More
The ambience, building and display as you walk in - you could be fooled in thinking you were in a French patisserie in Paris. The food does not disappoint - everything I sampled was delicious and compared to European prices, cheap. Definitely work a visit if you are in the area and fancy a little treat.
Wide range of pastries, cakes and savoury items. Decent coffee, nice place to sit and take a break from the city. Good place to buy a gift for a host for a dinner or as a thank you. Try the almond croissant if you can, very good.
