If you really like seafood, this is one place to go. Pleasant atmosphere, good service and excellent food!
We sat outside with some nice music played by a live band on Friday night. The environment is nice for a date and just to hang out. The food is average with heavy seafood that is fairly expensive (like other restaurants in Maputo). The clams were decent, the seafood kebab was OK (need a better portion) but the presentation was... This is a family orientated restaurant with a children's area. The food is good. The night we were there, they had run out of a number of items which was a shame. Their bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. However the food we eventually had was delicious. With a little attention to detail, this could be really good place.
We had a work dinner with a number of people off a set menu. The seafood was not as glamorous as anticipated and had to wait very long for the food to arrive. A few people ended up not feeling very well after that so I don't think I would visit again.
Great variety of food, mainly sea food as expected but also beef, pork in a nice environment. Outside more relaxed, a bit formal inside but always a good level of service. There is always at least one of the waiters that speak English and sometimes you are lucky and get the menu in English. When used to Portuguese, quit easy... More
Food is really good, pricey for Maputo, but reasonable by UK standards. Down side, the waiting staff, maitre de etc were the most miserable I have encounters for some time.
Mondays are quiet evenings in Maputo and only Mar Na Brassa appeared to be open amongst the seafood restaurants. The open air eating area is pleasant but sadly not on the beach as we had hoped. We shared a seafood platter with a great mix of prawns, crab, calamari and crayfish. The meal was well presented and tasty - possibly... More
Well situated restaurant with excellent service. All 3 of us were disappointed with the fish we ordered as it was dry and overcooked. Do not sit inside if there is a large party in the restaurant as the acoustics are poor. we felt it was over priced.
Ended up in this restaurant since Costa do Sol is in repairs, and turned to be a nice surprise. Good food, service, well ... as usual in Mozambique, but good food, and light live music. Seems quite a good option if what you want is to get out from the centre of the city.
