Went there for lunch and had the best "bacalhau" (processed cod fish) in the last few years. Very well done, good service, great atmosphere. A place to try at least once!
Liked the variety of starters although they are quite overpriced (12 dollars for a small goat cheese as a starter??) I had the cerdo ibérico (porco preto) because you can't find it anywhere else in Maputo (that I know) but it wasn't great. You can have so much better in a typical taverna in Spain or Portugal. The prices of... More
The restaurant recently moved to a new premises, and the atmosphere is very nice. The selection of breads and cold cuts presented on arrival is tasty, but expensive (and you have to wonder how fresh it is as it is already waiting on the table when you arrive). My steak was ok, but my husband really liked the prawns. The... More
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere but be very aware of the starters you are given the impression that they are complimentary we asked if we could wash the dishes to pay the bill R500.00 per head no wine only soft drinks!
What a Gem ! Pleasantly surprised to find such a Awesome venue with the most amazing food in the heart of Maputo!
We had a table of about 16 people and we pre-ordered the food. It was excellent and the servcie was fine. The restaurant is a little cramped and it was full at the time but it probably added to the festive atmosphere. I really enjoyed the food and we had an excellent evening. The prices were not that bad in... More
Great food, good options for pork dishes. I also had the bacalhau, very good. Portions are well served and envrionment is very nice, a little dark in the inside, good for a dinner. If going for lunch, the outside varanda is nicer. Also a wine bar and backery in the facilities. Expensive prices though.
First night in Maputo we discovered this wonderful portugese restaurant..The atmosphere was warm and very authentic. Great selection of wines and excellent selection of food..Be careful not to fill yourself with the huge appetizer board they bring you..Choose a couple and save your appetite for the main course..Delicious bread too...
The restaurant has recently moved and is now more spacious and up market. Great location near the Parque dos Continuadores. The food is Portuguese cuisine and very good. Although pricy it is worth it. Service and wine selection very good. Outdoor seating available if the weather is suitable.
