Exceptional options from the raw bar to the roast beef, tempura, sushi, deserts etc. The staff was very attentive, for example noticing we were enjoying the raw bar they brought a plate of prime lobster pieces to our table simply because they noticed we were enjoying them. I was pleasantly surprised to find they also had a bottomless wine option,... More

We were staying at the Peninsula but decided to eat at Lord Jim's for a different experience. It was different and very disappointing. We found the service too formal and 'cold', and a number of the menu items were not available. The window table location gave great views across the river but the overall ambience was too formal for our... More

Mandarin Oriental is a top class hotel ( not only in Bangkok ) and has excellent restaurants. Lord Jim/s buffet is worth every penny! great food selection ( not only sea food ), fantastic dishes and very friendly staff; highly recommended! it is always busy so book a table in advance!

This is one of the best lunch buffet in Bangkok. The reservation is imperative. Its lunch is most sought after and always full. They have the best quality all you can eat foie Gras which comes in a big thick piece. The roast meat is also full of succulent meat ie. Roast Prime Ribs, Roast Duck, Roast Ham, Roast Chicken... I chose Lord Jims for my birthday dinner. Staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. I was made a gorgeous chocolate cake , macaroons, sweets. Our seafood platter was delicious but a little overwhelming in size. I am well awre people complain about the price but then that's what quality costs. The views across the Chao Praya were stunning, the food... More

I wouldn't waste that much money going there again,, Sure the sushi was great , deserts were really good , but the mains were a bit average" after reading the raving reviews and getting all hungry I was expecting top notch succulent seafood and hot foods section to be so good I couldn't stop eating it" but alas it only... My visit to Lord Jim's was for a business lunch, so no great time to linger. There was a buffet service but the selection was absolutely fabulous. I am not normally a buffet fan, especially in Asia but in this case, the small servings, constantly being refilled were quite ok. The selection of fresh seafood, Sashimi, Sushi was great, and... Am vegan gluten free but they were gracious and gave me a lovely creative dish. Nice to get a breather from the heat in this cool space.

A window table overlooking the Chao Praya river at night, great service, and delicious food--California roll, marinated salmon, sea bass. Prices high but a memorable meal.

Thank you Lord Jim's & especially the staff for a wonderful meal & overall a wonderful evening. The presentations & tastes on our plates are unbelievable. The price is definitely up their but the extra things that get brought to your table definitely made it worthwhile. If you can afford one nice dinner while in Bangkok make it Lord Jim's.
