its local food and the good thing is that its open until late night. Quality is ok but it can be hot some time as Bangkok is always warm and humid
Very good street food and good service for the place it is, small shacks but authentic Thai food.. A few shops have english menus too.. And they will allow you to order food from one stall and eat at another.
Really nice food, nice people but.. it's small, tiny... expected a more of everything. Went at 9pm and was kind of half empty plus there is only a hundred meters of stalls or less which is small.
Soi 38 together with nearby Soi 36 and 55 form the popular ThongLor street food area. I visted these popular stalls: - Mae Varee fruit shop: quality mango with sticky rice, take away only - Hoi-Tod Chaw-Lae: next to Mar Varee: very good omelette, often mentioned in top street food list. - Wanton noodles on Soi 38: served with crab... Always fresh and quickly prepared. Don't come here too early - I feel that most of the stalls open at 8PM. Some them even keep open until 02AM, but that might depend on the day of the week and available produce. It's hard to start reviewing all the stalls on the street, so I will just say that all-in-all this... More
Its right next to the local BTS Skytrain station Thong Lor or Sukhumvit Soi 55. If you are looking for something to eat late in the night, this is the right place. The stalls are open until around 3 AM and food is cheap and good here.
Saw the reviews , so must try, and indeed true! Very yummy mango sticky rice, the durian version was delicious too! The pad thai was well done! Price wise very worth it, will definitely go there for local thai street food whenever i am in bangkok. Location wise good as well as its right next to thong lor bts station!
Basic Thai street food, served to you on the street. This is my one and only best street food recommendations in Bangkok. If I ever go, take visiting friends or family, or just to grab something easy, this is the one and only top place. If you are visitng please note that thus is a basic place, but no worry... More
My quest finally comes to an end...i finally found the best mango sticky rice in Bangkok. The stall runs by 2 sisters, besides mango sticky rice there`s another stall that sells award winning Pad Thai, pork satay and Noodle. When i visit Sukhumvit soi 38, so many locals and also famous actor in Thailand also having the same dish.
I was very late after my meetings and the hotel people suggested that I shall visit this place if I want to eat something late. These are like road side stalls but food is very clean and fresh. Definitely will visit again if I am back in Bangkok
