No need to look for any other restaurant when in Bangkok! This is the best, most authentic Italian restaurant. Great food, great service. Hats off to Mama.
I've been here many times over the years, since it was on Soi 13. The food is always great and the service is good. Sometimes you'll go in and someone has been smoking inside and the TV is on an Italian channel. But the put out the smokes and put on the Dean Martin during regular hours or if there... More
An antipasto table at the back of the restaurant, a wood fired pizza over, immaculate table linen and attentive staff. A wonderful look and feel to the place. My salad dressing was perfect, the parmesan cheese shaved perfectly over the rocket lettuce, presentation very nice. The pesto brushetta tasty and not too large. I am so sorry that I wasn't... More
I ate here twice within a two week timeframe- once with an Italian friend and again with my husband. The meal with my Italian friend was excellent- delicious Sicilian wine, wonderful antipasto appetizer, excellent pasta, and ended with limoncello and dessert. I went again with my husband and the experience was less impressive. We returned because I noted that there... More
No good experience in this restaurante, the owner rude and arrogant want that we eat what he wants, may be food of the past day ! Salumi old, ravioli too cooked. Too much expensive.
We was in Bangkok some days in our Thailand tour, on Tripadvisor we see la piola italian restaurant. We eat unkooked pasta with old tomato sauce (but we asked gorgonzola sauce). After we asked fish but the waiter (or owner?) recommended us shoulder lamb that was old meat. Insult to italian cooking. Rude and arrogant service. We did not eat... More
Must have had up to 100 pizzas from La Piola over the past few years, either in the restaurant or for takeaway. The location is great, at the end of Sukhumvit 11 near lots of bars and clubs. The restaurant itself isn't the greatest setting but the pizzas are very good and a reasonable price. Other food is ok, but... More
Very difficult to find it, this italian restaurant is away from reputation of good italian restaurant. The pasta was uncooked, the sauce was acid and very low level service. Cockroaches go around in the dining room.
It is really good if you are facing problems with Asian food..I went with my mom april 2013...very nice food , service. ..I really recommend....
We visited on a Saturday evening. The Italian owner greeted us and was very friendly and welcoming. The decoration is old fashioned, cheap and a bit messy. There was only one other occupied table at 8.15 but by 9pm it was almost full. The menu offered a good selection of starters, pasta, pizza, meat and fish BUT don't even try... More
