Tourist trap? Sure, but who cares. The staff are friendly and hard working, the beer is cheap for the location and you get to watch the madness that is traffic in Hue from the comfort of your street-side table.

We sat downstairs on the corner in the afternoon for a beer & watched the world go by - with a nice cool fan on us, icy cold beers and attentive waiters who had beaming smiles. We came back again after dinner for a couple of drinks & sat upstairs - great view for crowd watching.

We ate here several times as it was quite close to the Orchid Hotel. The young staff were excellent and really enjoyed practicing their English with us. We had a lot of fun with them and our 2 dinners were most enjoyable.

This bar depends on what constitutes a good night out for you. Is is loud playing western music, that tourists will love, free snooker, lots of smoking. Great atmosphere in here though, everyone is winding down from a day of Hue sightseeing, the food is also a nice surprise, I don't tend to like places that serve over 10 pages...
