Good place to eat Central Asia food with some flavor of local culture and nice location close to the river bank. On weekends and during lunch time packed. The service is a subject of improvement but it is a case for most of Astana places. As for Astana prices are ok

Sat outside, in the sun, on the porch overlooking the river. The food portions were generous and very tasty. If you are looking for nourishment and not a gourmet experience, with nice people and good ambiance, Turfan is a good place to go in Astana.

Typical asiatic foods and nice location. Worth visiting before or after peak hours.

love the manti, lahman and donner. Is very cheap and conveniently localted next to the river. In the summer has a very nice outdoor area. In the winter is gets very hot an uncomfortable inside because of poor ventilation.

Cheap and delicious food. Always a good crowd. Chelsea cocktail for 400 tenge is yummy yet strong. A perfect place after the stroll at the river bank or jogging in the park. Busy on the weekends, so expect a wait for the table. Bathroom is stinky and without toilets.

Turfan is a place where people with children can go and afford to eat out. I see my students there all the time, and they generally don't have a lot of money. On a corner, looks like outdoor summer seating to see the river. Combination of Chinese, Russian food. Dark, cozy, comfortable. Pleasant service.
