I love humus. Really do. Abu Hasan is one of my favorites when I crave for it while in Tel Aviv and Jaffa. It is fresh and light and tastes wonderful.

I Why did I rate it only 4 instead of 5? because last week I drove to Tira, the Arab town next to Kfar Saba, and had a better Hummus at Abu Amar. In any event, Ali Karavan has a great hummus with lousy seating a huge waiting outside.
by the way I'm working in Tel Aviv and one of the best dishes for me is Humos... :) , surely I can say it was the best Humos i ate in our country, trust me....
Take a plate of "MESHULASH" (Triple) and sit outside watching the Jaffa Port. Share a table with others and enjoy every bite with pita bread.
Long time since I wrote on tripadvisor..
I went to the original abu hassan this week and was actually a bit dissapointed.. maybe because of the very high expectations.
the hummus is ok - nothing special - the people working there are ok, and the location is far from central tel aviv and even not in the centre of yafo...

They were all locals, which automatically made me love the place even more. I had my driver with me who helped order in Hebrew but I'm sure...

Lovely people, great food. A real authentic food experience in Jaffa. mostly recommended! It is crowded but that's how it works and the service is impeccable
Hummus is a very delicate subject in Israel. In fact, if you don't like Hummus you better not men chine it near Israelis because the next thing that will happen is that they will try immediately to take you to their "best Hummus place" to prove you it is a dish sent from heaven. Just like people fan different soccer...

i love to eat humous, and Abu Hasan is good, but not the best. There are alot of good humous in Tel Aviv that are better then Abu Hasan.
Abu Hasan lives up to its reputation as an excellent humous and pita bread destination. Far from salubrious but the taste does indeed make up for the lack of glamour or comfort. The quality was high and filled all diners - perfect for lunch. Make sure you try the Charif (spicy) oil too!
