I visited this restaurant many times with friends and family in nearly all his branches. Hence my opinion about it is unchanged. The cold and hot mezze varies from good to very good with some remarkable plates like the "Lahm beajin" with pomegranate syrup (lebanese meat loaf), fatteh, fattouch, Raheb salad... As for the grills, I disrecommend the meat skewers,... More

All three venues of Al Balad Restaurant have their charm add to that an authentic taste in all their traditional yet re-invented Lebanese plates. I love it.

My wife and I have been to Beirut a few times the past few years and we always make sure to go back to El Balad, which has lovely casual settings be it outside or inside. We always opted for the outside choice and always enjoyed it very much. You cannot go wrong: be it the choice of bread, starters... More

Had the best hommus (al balad - spicy version) and kebbeh ever. Really nice food. Highly recommended.

I believe Al Balad refers to downtown Beirut. It is probably the cleanest area in Beirut with great restaurants. I would recommend going there at least once during your trip.

the food is great typically Lebanese & oriental served in the best way & with the best value & atmosphere -having Fayruz singing classical lebanese songs-the location is good in downtown Beirut but it's kind of stuffed when full.the quality & the price are really good.

On my recent trip to Beirut, I insisted that my family and I go for dinner at Al Balad. I had been there several years ago and it was a nice experience. This time around, it was utterly disappointing!!! The food was passable but the service was really bad. The waiter, a noticeably tall slim guy treated us in such... More

I was visiting Beirut and was invited to this Lebanese restaurant for some authentic Lebanese cuisine. I have to say I really enjoyed the hummus, the fried cheese rolls, tabbouleh, and the kafta mana-eesh (baked bread with a blend of meat and spices). The raw kibbeh (meat) was one of the best I have had. The only drawback was very... More
