The Prawns are to die for. The breads from the Indian oven " tandoor" excellent. The meat dishes and the Paneer is nice and soft, basically U won't go wrong leave it to them. Only thing like other places in Nairobi the regulars get better service but is that not everywhere, more so in Nairobi as the society is smaller...

I've been stopping in here for 20 years and it continues to amaze me. The Haandi offers consistently quality food and excellent service. Among my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world - and I've dined in nearly 70 countries! Go with your spouse, go for a business meeting, go for any reason at all!

Haandi restaurant is very near to Hilton Nairobi and they have good vegetarian food . Sit on the first floor towards side to road and enjoy your food . Its also a right place for night life , after dinner in Hand you can explore the nightlife near to this restaurant . Many bars and clubs are there . One...

Nice but they can do better, service-wise. Food is great though

Ate at both the Capital One based restaurant on Mombasa Road and the one based at Westgate Mall in Westlands, while the service was great the setting was rather spartan despite the upmarket locations.

Most of the food quite heavy prepared in high fat and high salt not recommended for
people with Blood Pressure/Diabetic. Décor is nice. Can get very noisy
and pretty crowded. Not value for money. Not worth tipping. Dining at ANGHITII is more enjoyable and can be prepared for personal flavours.

I didn't like the service and my food was extremely oversalted. It also seemed a little overcrowded but I think they may be expanding now.

Haandi is fine its just up against some good opposition, Anghitti and Open House shade it slightly.
Indian Food really is well done in Nairobi, anywhere else this would be a four for food.
Staff are helpful and you get the impression they are not as well paid as some other places. I always tip a little extra here.

Me and my wife had dinner there. I liked the place and the ambience was nice. Many natives eating there, which is a good sign. However, some of the food was too greasy and gave some stomach-aches afterwards. However, maybe we are not used to such heavy food. The prices were a bit expensive too. In general, goo experience...
