The place is set in a beautiful historic house, just a block away from the costanera. The sandwiches were really good, as were the desserts. Service lacked just a little bit.
A very pleasant, airy, spaceous room, nicely decorated and furnished. It had a lovely atmosphere whilst we were there. A great help was the owner(?) from Santiago who had spent several years in Cardiff (yes Wales), so advice and interpretation re the menu was invaluable. The meal really was superb in every respect. Not to be missed.
A very nice selection of tapas and main dishes. I highly recommend the wild boar ravioli. The seating area is rather small, so an early arrival is recommended. I wish that we had time to try their brunch and boxed lunches. The food is superb.

Once again tripadvisor reviews did not disappoint - La Gringa is a great place to spend a few hours in Puerto Varas and have some wonderful food! Both of us had the vegetarian quiche and a cheese/fruit cake for desert. Everything was superb, right down to the real cappuccino. The waiter was very nice and spoke very good English which... More
It's a traditional NY styled restaurant in the heart of Puerto Varas. If you've ever been to NY, your understand what it's like. It was very busy and the food was excellent. Obviously very popular. Nice ambiannce!

We got to meet "La Gringa," the lady behind the name - very sweet and obviously speaks English... More
Place to eat a good soup, tapas, or even have your dinner. You can buy some wine, cheese. Don't miss this place in Puerto Varas.
This Café/Bakery is a home away from home and in fact it is located in a leafy suburb adjacent to the lake. Surrounded by other homes you could easily miss it if you don’t look out for their sign - the building is Germanic looking but with a touch of Chilean style. Once inside it is full of bright and...
