Atmosphere is cosy but the live music is really loud and kind of annoying. The food is plenty but not that tasty.

Best restaurant in city which you can enjoy Bulgarian kitchen. Ask waiter to bring a mixed meze (cold appetizers) plate. As a main course try their Lamb Dirnik of Beef. Nice atmosphere, decorated with old stuff hanged on the walls.

The restaurant is located in the centre of the town. It has a nice garden, so during summer you can stay outside. However inside is dark and not very much comfortable. The food is typical Bulgarian, but something very special, and not very tasty. The service is average.
I definitely recommend Pri Yafata. It's an old restaurant with lots of traditional decorations all around, and its menu features the highlights of Bulgarian cuisine. I stopped here because the hostel told me this place had good traditional Bulgarian. I was a bit worried when I didn't see anyone else there -- but then I realized it was only 4:30 and way too early for dinner!
