Good food, not expensive. Great environment, they have live music. Ask for the Tantalo Burrito. The decoration is very unique, specially the bags chairs
The rooftop is a Great place for a drink and beautiful people watching. Fernando helped us and was amazing! Try to get there by sunset hours, beginning of the evening to get a chair and have great views on both the old town and the skyline of the new city. The food downstairs is great too and the service very... More
Got there Saturday night, before the restaurant got busy. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Bigger than expected in a tapas restaurant. As the evening progressed and the place became busier the service deteriorated. Dessert and getting the bill took far longer than what should occur. Overall the good food trumps the less than average service.
Great for the outside terrace late on the weekend. Food is great, small plates for sharing. Last time I was there on a Sunday they'd changed the menu which was not as good before.
A fun place for young crowds. Food is average and served in small very nicely presented plates. Try to imitate tapas styly but not quite. Not cheap but average price for this kind of yuppi place. We went with a friend and we are middle afed and honestly we did not fit. Not a place for dinner but to enjoy... More
This restaurant/bar is located in a historic Spanish colonial neighborhood. It is very modern and elegant, yet very young. The food is gourmet but as with most gourmet kitchens, the portions are small and $$$$$. If the weather is nice, visit the roof top terrace for great music and dancing. This is a great place to go during the evening.... More
Tantalo was perfect for our large group who loved to eat and drink! The rooftop bar was spacious, comfortable and provided a great space to hang with friends and acquaintances. We actually had a work event and everybody was able to mingle and network in a casual, fun place - it was perfect. Located in a the Viejo district, which... More
We had breakfast twice and dinner once in this artsy restaurant. The food was well prepared and delivered by friendly servers. Prices, especially for breakfast were fair. Located in the Casa Viejo district, this is a shining star. Tantalo: Recommended
Came in for a late dinner and had good steak, empanadas, potatoes, etc. Its a bit of an eclectic menu, with a lot of different influences. The communal seating is great, and there are options on the menu for everyone. The bar upstairs was great, with a nighttime skyline view of Casco Viejo and Panama City as well. The only... More
Fun place with great food and tremendous crowd atmosphere... Most seating is done at long @20 person high table setting with having the end four seats work out great... Packed house on a Thursday nt while most all other nearby places were nearly empty... Try the roof top bar afterwards for great views of the old cathedral
