The bar and overall ambiance at Oran Mor are absolutely charming! We sat at the bar, sipped champagne and enjoyed conversation with the bartender who recommended several dishes to try. The braised short ribs with ricotta ravioli appetizer was outstanding. My husband loved the house cured salmon and we both loved the oysters! Lamb tenderloin was a show stopper. The... More

The food was top notch, the service exemplary, lovely interior, and I highly recommend the deck with table outside if you are lucky to get it!

We visited Oran Mor during restaurant week in September. After many months visiting most states and many excellent restaurants along the East Coast, we have decided that Oran Mor was the best of the best. The special menu consisted of their most popular dishes including house-cured salmon, scallops, duck and carrot cake. Each dish was exquisite and their flavors and... More

We had another great dinner last Friday night at Oran Mor while visiting Nantucket for Christmas Stroll Weekend. This is one of our favorite restaurants on the island. The Nantucket bay scallops with pumpkin seed risotto and the lamb shank were delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was kind, courteous and clearly a perfectionist. It was a very nice... Nantucket has many outstanding eateries. Oran Mor is among the best. Food is 'perfectly just right' and beautifully presented. Staff is eager to help, very personable, and knowledgeable. It's a cozy little upstairs place with great ambiance. Low-key and comfortable.

My husband and I were on Nantucket for an overnight and chose Oran Mor for our only dinner here. I had walked by the restaurant several times over the years, noting that I had heard it was good. It wasn't good. It was perfect. We each got the tasting menu (which at $85 for 7 courses was an incredible value!)... More

My boyfriend and I returned to Oran Mor in September 2012 after we had a stellar 7-course tasting in September 2011. Our meal was once again guided by Erik, an informed lover of food and wine. Erik made the dining decisions for us and let us try numerous wines to see how they paired with each of our courses. We... More

Unfortunately our experience at Oran Mor was simply awful. Our waiter, who was also the bartender, was surly from the start, he got our order wrong, and he and the rest of the staff were very unapologetic. The food was mostly very bland and not at all worth the price tag. I'm sure we might have had a better experience... More

Visited Nantucket during restaurant week and ate at Oran Mor. This was without doubt the best meal we had during our stay on Cape Cod. The portion sizes were just right and we were absolutely satisfied with the 4 course meal. We were seated near the bar but it was not noisy and the service was attentive. If we ever... More
