Gujjus love eating - and trust them to make even ordinary food exotic with strange combos - so u have corn on the cob dipped in cheese, Maska Paav with lehsun chutney, gaathiya, barf gola and what not.... the list is endless, and this is the spot where it all comes together in the night!

Different type of traditional dresses can be found here only in the world.. This place is world famous and when I visit this I really come to know how this place is so popular in world. Hand made indian tradition chaniya-choli and lots of stuff. Must visit once..:)
This is a nice place to get traditional stuff. However, there is no guarantee of the quality. Also the prices quoted will be too high.. you need to know how to bargain... haggling is the key here. Start with 50% of whatever the shop keeper quotes and take it up from there... increasing 25 to 30 rupees till the time...

We were surprised to see the handcraft shops and fool stalls open so late and it was a huge gathering of people of all class coming down to the same shops, food stalls and the rides to enjoy a social mass celebration for everyone.
This was one of the best recommendations in Ahmedabad - it is just on the sides of a great Law Garden (do find time to walk inside - it is wonderful and refreshing).
