Nicely situated, cheap beers, tasty curries (chicken malabar and prawn masala). Awful Rice. Terrible stomachs and bottoms an hour later.
If you want to have a banana chocolat pancake with only banana taste but no piece of banana then come here ! If you prefer to drink mango juice that has nothing to do with mango, this place is for you. In other cases, never stopes there.
I can't remember what made us think Bluemoon would be ok for fish -perhaps it was that we were by then quite starving, or maybe it was the low-ish price of the fish- but we were definitely terribly mistaken. We ordered 'butterfish' and 'grilled calamari' (which we chose up at the fish counter. The 'butterfish' tasted a bit old (not... More
Well, honestly the food was not horrible (the milkshake, however, was quite squalid). The place has a somewhat rustic charm to it, no doubt. On one hand, the beautiful view is a recommendation in itself, on the other hand, the staff threatened to "cut" us. Yes, I meant that quite literally. The waiter and the owner told us to get... More
We were made to feel very welcome and they remembered us from last year.It was one of the busiest places on the cliff even though it was near the low season. the tuna in lemon garlic sauce is to be highly recommended. The food and drink prices here very reasonable
The food is not bad, we had fish and chicken coconut curry. They had a happy hour price of 75rps for a cocktail. The cocktail list itself does not carry any prices at all. We ordered a gin and tonic from this list and were charged 120rps. The waiter protested that gin and tonic was not a cocktail. We spoke... More
For food you should not be in the Blue moon. The food is just dirty. Want the cheapest beer at the north cliff and a beautiful sunset you have to be there!! The staff is friendly. There is an Indian man with a mustache who speaks good English. He chats to everyone within the 'freshly caught fish. "Never mind the... More
Yes, if you want the best fresh juice in varkala (I will say southern India) go to blue moon. No, if you want to eat at a clean place, don't go to blue moon. I went there for the juice and move onto another place for food. Win win!
Nice seafood but it took over an hour to get our food and the service was poor. They were more interested in getting people to come to their restaurant than actually serving the existing patrons.
I didn't like the food here much, it was okay, nothing great. I had prawns and other stuff. also didn't like the toilet much. Not a great place for me. I also didn't like the fact that the restaurant people were constantly accosting tourist to visit their place, which was annoying for people who want to have a quiet evening.
