Really friendly staff, comfy seats out in the front of the restaurant and delicious food. We ate here four times and really liked it. Good wifi connection and they'll let you just sit there and enjoy a drink and some food without hurrying you along. Highly recommend.

Food was good and the service was quick which is not always the case in Varkala but the attitude of their staff was not good. May be he was not interested in serving us at all.

We have been coming to that restaurant every day, since our first day in Varkala. It looked very nice, and it is opened just for lunch-dinner. I can say that fish, what they make in tandoor is really very delicious, but they cant do good grill though.
the service is ok, they move fast, but if you want quick servings...

There a few places simlar to the Kerala cafe but we fould the food the bext here. Decent value and good services. It has terrace seating so you should get a table with a decent view.

We tried this place after reading good reviews and it didn't disappoint! Best prawns, snapper and butter fish we've tried in all of Kerala. Great value, good service and vibrant atmosphere. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Varkala.

We spent five night in Varkala. There are a lot of restaurants here but we decided to pick New Kerala Cafe and from then forward we spent all our days eating in this lovely atmosphere restaurant. The place was busy so the meal took a while to arive. I had to send my tandoori fish back because it wasn't properly cooked, but they replaced without any fuss and it was fine second time round. The food was good and the staff friendly.

We ate here on our first night in Varkala and while we did try a few other, we went back again and again!
The tandoori and indian dishes were the best we ate and best value too. The design is superb, the staff were very friendly and the service was good too.
I cannot wait to taste the tandoori chicken...
