Although a little expensive by Penang standards, the staff were most helpful and allowed us to mix the set menu with a la carte which was to our advantage. Pleasant surroundings and good food - well worth considering.

Nice stylish place- a bit more expensive than the usual restaurants in Penang but definitely worth it. They only have a few meals (around 15) n the menu, but the Nasi Goreng I tried was definitely the best rice meal I ate during our three weeks in Malaysia.

The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating though as noted in a prior review, the indoor seating is a bit limited. The outdoor seating has plenty of shade and they had fans out for air circulation. There aren't many tables inside in the air conditioning nor outside but service is good, food is good and the cost is reasonable. It can be tight inside with tables too close to each other when it's crowded. No smoking inside is a plus.

I visited Mews Cafe twice during my visit to Georgetown in January, once for a pre-dinner cocktail and the second time, also for a cocktail and a light meal. Both visits were very pleasant -- the cocktails were great, the service excellent and the atmosphere perfect.
