I discovered this restaurant due to the lonely planet travel guide where it is listed as a "top choice" recommendation: my friend and I have been eating our way around Malaysia and Singapore, visiting many "top choice" establishments, and although all of them have been great this is the only restaurant I have left with my tastebuds experiancing pure gustatory... our first time(family of 5) at this restaurant because of all the good recommendations from this site...unfortunately its not true....lousy peking duck(even cooked in a microwave????saw that before???) and the too greasy spring rolls...even worst because we are locals and not foreigners(ang mo I guess) the waitress welcome us with an extremely unfriendly face...and than the owner(Karen, I guess as... If you're the kind of diner who thinks that spring rolls and fried rice are exotic Asian food, this restaurant may not be for you. It's charm and attraction is in the different experience that it offers. We were able to sample delicious dishes we had never eaten before. The spicy roast lamb hot pot was excellent - a little... As regular visitors to KK, we always enjoy going back to places where we have enjoyed great food and great service. Moon Bell, along with Sri Melaka, are our KK favourites. Our favourite Moon Bell meal of soft shell crab, seafood stuffed brinjal and lamb with home made noodles was as good as ever. We were in KK during the... More

Authentic Chinese Muslim Cuisine. The spiciness of the food are well prepared. I like to have more of their food.

After seeing so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor, my partner and I were looking forward to trying this restaurant for some local, authentic food. The owner (Karen) was very friendly and the location was very central to the hotel district of KK. As for the food (salt and pepper squid, eggplant, lamb soup)... it wasn't terrible, it was just a... Another case of a simply finished establishment serving up delicious food at bargain prices. We were looking for vegetarian spring rolls which is what attracted us to Moon Bell. We ordered the spring rolls, eggplant sans seafood, spicy potato, vegetarian fried noodles and vegetarian fried rice. The standout dishes for me were the spring rolls (the biggest serving of spring... More

Maybe we had an off night, but this was well below what we were expecting. Karen (host) was brilliant, but the other waitress couldn't speak a word of English. The seafood stuffed aubergines (eggplant) had next to no seafood in it, to the extent that we questioned if we had the right dish. It was a joke to say there... More

We went for lunch and were very warmly greeted. The food is good, Peking duck was delicious. I also wanted a veggie dish and was recommended what turned out to be dumpling stuffed with seafood - very nice but not even remotely veggie. When paying the lady checked whether we had gotten the veggie dish we ordered and I didn't... More

Fabulous, super clean, very friendly ... My husband and I went for dinner, we had veggie spring rolls, salt & pepper squid (to die for), deep fried lazy crab and a huge fried rice, all for $25, and we were very full ... Beautiful food with a super friendly owner, nothing is too much trouble ... You must go.
