Food and service at this place is very good. The staff will recommend if you are not sure what you wanted to have. Just transportation is a bit of problem

My wife and I have been coming to the Brass Monkey for 5 years while living in Asia, and we have NEVER had anything but exceptional food, service, and hospitality by Raj, the owner, plus the entire staff. This man puts his heart and soul in his restaurant, and it clearly shows in the quality of food and service that... More

Unique concept plus the ambiance is very welcoming. The pastas are good but the steaks served here are among the best in Kota Kinabalu. The Wagyu Beef steak can be make your purse cry, but it worth the money you spent. Try out the lava cake - awesome!!!

Overall is average but the price for the food is overpriced. Definitely can have better food with that price. The cod fish is not bad, juice is fresh. The rest are just average.

Haven't had the chance of trying out their main course dishes but was there with my boyfriend for their dessert. It was heavenly! Can't remember what it is called, it's something like lava cake with runny chocolate in the middle.

Brass Monkey have clearly found a winning formula and are sticking too it. They have a limited menu (3 starters, 3 deserts, a dozen main courses) that they do REALLY well rather than the ubiquitous fare of places like Upperstar or Secret Recipe. The garden salad was big enough for two, the pasta dishes were hearty and the steak was... More
