I like the Panamonte, it's old fashioned well presented and delivers with the food and the service. I ate there twice last month, both meals were good. The cocktails were quality...I was craving pasta and the short rib ragu was excellent as was the fillet steak, the risotto and the ceviche. Great atmosphere and every year when we go to Boquete we go to the Panamonte for dinner in the bar which has a fabulous fireplace on the patio and great environment. We have been here (in the restaurant) many times in four trips to Boquete. While we think the food quality has at times been inconsistent we enjoy the ambience in the bar. The service is always very good and this is worth a stop in the restaurant.

We usually get the trucha (trout) but this time I went for the steak and it was perfect as was the great bottle of Chilean wine the server recommended. We stayed at this very nice and traditional Boquete Inn. It is cozy and typical of this part of the country. We dined one night in their restaurant, and while it is adequate and probably the best in Boquete, it could be better with more supervision. All, in all, we would return.
