All the locals recommend this place for breakfast. We went there at 9am and there was not a soul in sight to serve us. We even went into the kitchen. The food looked old and dry like it was yesterdays dinner...
Super cheap for lunch, menu in spanish and english, full plates of food, baked beans, rice and beans, green bean salad and meat of choice, I had the beef tounge and it was good.
A typico in Boquete has a lunch menu of rice, beans, salad and more. Nelvis has a fast turn over and the food is good. Try their world class fried chicken.
I love Panamanian food!! Boquete has quite a few traditional panamanian restaurants but Nelvis by far is one of the best ones to go to for lunch. Don't go too late in the day though as it's not open for dinner. From my understanding it is a family run business. The fried chicken & lomo were my favorite things on...

Popular, have to wait in line, but it seemed to move fast at lunchtime. Good beans and rice, lentils and salads. If you dont eat meat you have to pass up the great looking fried chicken!!!!
sparce servings, I had the fried fish and my husband had the checken and both were good. People were very nice
This little restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our apartment. What a find! If you want authentic Panamanian food this is the place. Very casual. You can dine inside or out. It is cafeteria style and the menu is limited, but whatever you chose, it will taste GREAT! Very economical, too!
Fried chicken...really good fried chicken...mashed purple potatoes (the mixed beets make them purple) black beans and rice, fresh vegetables, fried plantains....for $2.75...need I say more?
Consistently great fried chicken cooked very fresh for lunch time. Traditional meat dishes available. Sides include the usual potatoes, rice, squash, green salad and other things. The chicken soup is fantastic!
