The chicken was very very tasty, tender and juicy. The atsuete flavored rice hit just the spot. The longganiza wasn't bad either. This barbecue chicken is definitely a must try (if you are not too squeamish about your ambience)

Go local! Chicken barbecue- while you wait for them to grill it. Fresh oysters for Php40. Bring your own wet tissue and hand sanitizer. Be ready to eat with your fingers! You come home smelling like smoke and grill. Delicious! complete with vendors selling you art works- dont forget to barter!

Manokan is a big semi-outdoor area with dozens of restaurants. It is a standard filipino bbq place with plastic chairs and big groups sharing red horse grandes. The food can vary depending on where you eat. It is also somewhat expensive. The only thing I didn't like was the wave of beggars and souvenir salesmen that constantly pestered our table.

It's row after row of grilled chicken and chicken parts the Bacolod way! Inexpensive and delicious, it's something you should not miss. Be prepared to 'rough it out' as the place is as spartan as it can be.

The chicken here is just too great. Definitely a meal that can rival Italy's pasta and Spain's paella. (Though those aren't chicken dishes really, but the taste is comparable).
