I really enjoyed my meal at Fujiya. Not easy to find, we needed the taxi driver to hang around and help us, we realized we were in for an experience in the ante room where a molecular water sculpture gives a feel of what is to come. This is followed by a walk up the stairs next to the (spotless,... More

When we read the reviews, we just had to book and we were not disappointed. A first class restaurant, mostly impeccable service, innovative food and some high quality wines to match. A lack of English arguably detracts slightly from the overall experience, however the food and wine speak for themselves. Approximately twelve courses with four wines matched and at around... More

This restaurant has it all. Ambiance, amazing food, great wine list, superb service. The layout is perfect. The service is amazing - even by Japanese standards (which is truly saying something). It is the single best dining experience we had in Japan and probably the best we have ever had. And as global foodies that is a huge call. Thank... More

This is sort of a Japan, meets France, molecular cuisine. Love that the chefs serve directly to the table and mom is the door greeter and collects the money. The food is innovative and tasty - had some new flavors, and the service and atmosphere is top notch. It is frankly a good deal for the food.

This is one for the books, the meal is just marvelous in terms of technical execution and vision. Much more is its insightful use of local fresh ingredient from nearby places... The result is an experience that appeals to the practical sensibilities because it makes the price reasonable. This restaurant is one of the finest examples where you could achieve... More

I visited this fine restaurant with my partner and two friends, and I must say, the food, the service, the ambience and the value were absolutely perfect. The night started off with our warm welcome at their door. We entered a dimly lit atrium where the warmth was just as warm and welcome as the people, offering us instant respite... More

Almost two years on, we remember the meal, down to individual dishes. Exquisite Spanish fusion dishes, incredibly chic minimalist decor, top notch service. This place has 2 Michelin stars but deserves 3.

We visited Fujiya 1935 in April 2012 at the end of a 10 day holiday. We hadn’t heard about the place before and picked it due to its three stars in the Michelin Guide. It is a very small restaurant with a waiting room and kitchen on the ground floor, 4-5 tables on the second floor and bathrooms on the... More

I have never written a food review on a public forum but my wife insisted I do one for Fujiya1935 as we had such a fantastic experience there. We have dined at a few other 3 star restaurants in Europe and other countries but this rate as the best so far, even before considering the price. One can tell the... More
