Have been visiting this satay for many years. Original store at studio 5 then open subsidiary store nearby called zaini 2. Chicken satay a bit of fatty meat. I prefer beef satay. If you like more lean chiken satay can try store near damansa perdana.

Being a satay fanatic, I frequently crave for satay. By far, this is the best in town if it's not Malaysia. Personally, I prefer this much over the renowned Satay Kajang. It's juicy, tender and tantalizing! Do check out the place earlier especially if you...are into 'spare parts' aka internal organs as it's of limited stock and in high demand. The beef and lamb satay are highly recommended!More
Used to be the go-to place for street food satay. No longer. It is now average if not below average. Sad to see the decline of an iconic street stay establishment.
Used to be the best stay place in Malaysia, as far as I am concerned have been there many many times over the last 20 years or so, unfortunately the last couple of times the satay was not as good, the peanut sauce limited and...not as good as it used to be.More
I have visited their stall many many times..the attitude of one lady who works there was terrible. We ordered for take away satay..waited there for almost 1 1/2 hrs.. Everytime we asked how was our ordered..this lady kept telling me to wait a little longer..be...patient she said.. Then i realized she actually didnt do our ordered after i asked other staff to check..!!how devastated it was..for 1 1/2 hrs waiting.. They were actually 'choose' their customer who would be their priority!! Wooww...as i walked out speechless.. Never go back since then..More
One of the oldest and best satay places in Malaysia. Been going three for mano years and it is still stessa head of the rest.
The satay is a bit pricey but the taste is better than Satay Haji Samuri Kajang (in my opinion). It is located at a local food stall. It is not a fancy place to dine. Usually attract local people and regular customer.
Originally it was the famous Satay Majid . Now his son Zaini run the satay shop. Their special ingredients in their satays make it delicious. It is a family business . Try their beef, chicken satay which are marinated well. You can just eat it without...the gravy still taste yummy! The peanut sauce gravy too are thick, sweet & spicy a bit. The shop only open in the evening . Go early as it can be a long queue . Price wise is reasonable .More
This stall is sited within a larger and motley collection of stalls at the end of AKLEH there is limited parking and the rush gets worse at mealtimes and weekends The satay is tasty yet not as good as reported Quality is dependent on traffic...rush and there are other options Don't just come for the satay, if you Have it with the wide range of halal favourites it may be worth your tripMore
Had this Bone Steak Singapore. Delicious tak berhingat. I don't have to go to Singapore, this place has it all. Next visit, will try Rojak Asma @ Singapore. Yummeh
We usually go to Kajang for our satay but decided to try this as I'd read it was amongst the best in KL. well, whoever said its the best must be having a laugh. It was awful and more expensive than Kajang. There were huge...lumps of fat between the meat. I know there should be a little for a reason but this was ridiculous. The taste just wasn't there. The sauce was very bland. My partner said the staff were unfriendly and snobbish. As it was a Sunday, I expected it to be crowded like other reviews said it would be but there were plenty of tables free. Better to stick to Kajang satay and you won't be disappointed.More
The satay served to me had to much skin/fat & was way to greasy. Quality has definitely dropped over the years
I managed to track down Zaini satay finally and drove there from Bukit Bintang. It was a good 20 mins drive based on evening KL traffic...it wasn't too bad. We found it alright but it was closed, so we just ate at the next stall....It turned out to be quite good too. I think it may be better to try the other outlets as this Ampang outlet seem a bit run down. It's not a restaurant per se but a make shift food center next to the road. Not very conducive for a proper dining experience. But if you are just getting your satay fix...I guess it would be fine. Anyway, I'll try again next time....in any case , you can get good satay in KL from a few other places.More
Was taken here by friends living nearby in Ampang. We ordered take-out & it was all very tasty. Ordered both beef & chicken & the sauce is yum!
Good satay, tender and juicy. The place is crowded, so seats are limited and it is smoky with all the grilling. I come here only because the satay is good, and have been coming here for the last decade. Service is not customer friendly though...so you have to close one eye if you eat in. So I usually take away the satay and eat at home.More
