Loads of good beers the staff were very helpfull Deborah came up with some good places to visit . And advise on beers and nachos . Great blue grass band jamming the night we went.
Caldera's beer selection is huge, whatever your preference they have one for you. We sat by the fireplace on the comfy couch and enjoyed the breadsticks with our beer, very nice stop, will be back.
Caldera Taphouse, just down from the plaza has the best IPA around. Sitting on the shady deck in the summer sippin an IPA and eating their stinky hippy w/fries (grilled zucchini, cheese, aoli on a bun) is an affordable, delicious and many times entertaining evening. All the bar food is great. They have music, too. Very casual and friendly.
Caldera is where we go when we want a place we feel comfortable and know that we'll get good food and good service. Caldera has a wide range of quite interesting beers. The food menu is nothing to write home about (except maybe the sweet potato fries)--just your basic tavern burgers. But the folks who work there are always very... More
Great food, great service and damn tasty beer!! The Big Island Caldera Red Sea is my favorite - made w/ Himalayan pink salt, pink peppercorns, molasses & natural chocolate. The Mogli is my 2nd favorite - a chocolate, bourbon, oak aged Imperial Porter. For a lighter beer, I loved the Rose Petal Imperial Golden Ale, delicious! I really wanted to... More
First of all, this is a pub (food is available and generous servings, but it is a pub). So the food is not the priority. They brew the most astonishing varieties of beers, ales, and largers available in southern Oregon. Many are available only on tap, such as Big Island Caldera Red Sea (an IPA with Himalayan Pink Salt, peppercorns,... More
A little off the beaten path but worth the trip. If you like beer, this is the place to be. The place is gorgeous, very modern, large with extremely high ceilings. It's like being is a converted barn but lovely. Good food too, hamburgers etc.
We went at dusk and sat on the patio. It was very cool and shady while the temperature outdoors was about 100 degrees. The food was average for a bar. The beer list was pretty extensive but not exceptional. The staff seemed very busy and service was a little slow. I am not sure there was adequate staff at the... More
Great being a local and being to find that funky, fun and tasty place to relax after work. The Tap House is it! Great IPA and the chicken nachos are great. Warning! Only order the half unless you have lots of people.
My family went there tonight, a friday night at around 8 pm. The atmosphere is fun, and the staff are cool. The menu looks really good, and the beer is yummy. HOWEVER. We ordered at a few minutes past 8 and got our food almost TWO HOURs after we ordered.. We are talking hamburgers and salads, not complicated....It wasnt just... More
