The wife and I enjoyed an early dinner here recently after catching a documentary at the local theater. This restaurant had been recommended by a friend... They were right! Excellent food, well presented, and great recommendations from our exceptional wait person "Amanda"! I had the Mongolian Beef and it was tender, flavorful, perfectly prepared and well portioned! My wife had... More

Ate here two times while in Ashland, largely due to the menu item "a sushi named desire." We had several different things but what elevated the restaurant to greatness were items from the "chef's special maki" list such as the "asian fusion" and aforementioned "sushi named desire." Sat at the sushi bar, service was decent, prices were as expected (no... More

Had dinner here recently. The service was excellent. We had one appetizer and two entrees and the food was uniformly quite tasty and the portions were generous. Did not try any sushi but it has been favorably reviewed by others. I will be sure to return Taroko in the near future.

Taroko is my favorite place to get sushi in Ashland, I usually choose it to take out-of-town friends to. The ambience is great, especially the upstairs seating. The volcano roll is amazing!

Don't know what's happening here. Been when it was actually super great, then the next time creepy syrup phad thai and strange service. Bring wrong drinks, and asked us to drink them anyway. A very confusing mix of hit and miss to the extreme.

My husband and I first noticed the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant as very beautiful, but also inviting. We ordered an appetizer (the J Pop, crab stuffed jalapeno poppers) and a sushi entree which we enjoyed. Our tab was less than $20 after tip and we were very satisfied. The service was very friendly and helpful in giving suggestions.... More

Our party of seven had dinner here two days ago and the food and service were both great. The Pho had wonderful favors and the Shaking Beef was really good. Food is served family style so we all got to try several dishes, the only disappointment was the calamari and Korean ribs were just slightly salty. The Volcano roll was... More

The decor is attractive with low lighting, the food is top-notch, the service is professional and friendly, the menu is varied with something for everyone including interesting selections like the sake sampler, plus it's conveniently located downtown. It's clear they really care about getitng it right here. Ample food and drink ran us $30 each and it was well worth... More

The perfect place for a quick lunch of beef noodle soup. The waiter made sure we were all set to walk up the back stairs and end up in front of the Bowmer Theatre for show time. He also suggested that we share the big bowl of pho which made a good healthy serving for lunch.
