This was one of the highlights of our trip to Allentown. The server was awesome. He explained everything very well, and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the craft brews. The beef is from a local farm and the burgers are transcendent! I had a grain fed burger with the 2500 degrees topping and couldn't believe how good it... More

We visited the Allentown Brew Works on May 12th, Mother's Day. We were going to see Straight No Chaser and wanted to eat before we went. So it was pretty early, I'd say 5:15. We had called a half hour before which is what their voicemail says to do for a reservation. It was relatively empty when we got there... More

Visited last night - sunday night. Great decor, great service, great food, great price. The only problem was that Sunday night in center city Allentown is far from great. There was no parking nearby so we had to walk a significant distance in the deserted area. Lots of cars were whizzing by; however, there was NO one in sight. The... More

Brewpub so the beer gets extra scrutiny. First the food: Beer and chedder soup was very good. Clearly a sharp chedder was used and it melded very well with the rest of the soup, quite enjoyable. Bessamer's Brautwurst dinner was sweet, literally. The red cabbage, German potato salad and even the brautwurst brown gravy had a distinct sweetness. This was... More

We have been to a few brew pubs in the region and this one is definitely in the top 2. Usually when I try a flight board there is at least one beer not to my liking, Every beer from Allentown brew pub was very good. My hats off to the master brewer there!! The food was very good and... More

My quest for a good steak dinner in the Lehigh Valley continues. I tried ABW last weekend during an overnight stay. My medium steak was closer to rare and a little too chewy and bloody for my taste. The service was friendly and good and although the area seems sketchy, parking was easy right on the street across from the... More

We've been here several times. There is a great selection of beers and interesting food items. We really like the beer hummus, brewshetta and the shrimp. The service isn't always the best, but we always enjoy ourselves here.

We typically seek out local breweries when we are visiting areas thus we ate at Allentown Brew Works. The place feels spacious and clean when you arrive. The beer was good. The food was boring although fresh and well prepared. They offer your basic options without a lot of flavor or interest. If that is all you want...you're good to... More

My husband, son and I were in town for a ski weekend and found the Allentown Brew Works. We like to try out local gastropubs and went based on reviews. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent and the microbrews were even better. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to make good beer recommendations to match our... More
