I'm a coffee snob and I thought this was one of the best cups I've had in a long time. If they have the carrot pecan muffin, buy five.
We enjoyed a Sunday lunch here with our college student. It has a great outside area with big tvs for watching football. All food was fresh and delicious. Good, non-obtrusive service.
On our first morning in Austen we went out to Jo's, but found it not quite the sit down and have breakfast establishment we were in the mood for; there was a long line for the counter and all they had was coffee, some pastries and breakfast tacos. Not what we wanted at the time, we went next door to... More
I came here a few times in 2010 and fell in love with the place. Returning in 2013 was a total disappointment though. My small latte for $4.00 was more like a shot of weak expresso with warm milk dumped in it. For $4.00 it was a complete rip off. The bagels are tough as old boots and they make... More
We were in Austin on vacation and stopped by Jo's for some coffee. The Iced Coffee and Turbos were great on a sunny, humid day. Pastries and breakfast burritos are pretty average (I think the breakfast burritos are made elsewhere). The line went around the corner but it went very quickly. The drinks were ready once we went to the... More
If you want to beat the heat in Austin and get your weeks-worth of caffeine — then Jo's Iced Turbo is the only option. It's delicious. You'll be jumping off the walls in no time. It has only one downside: if you drink one daily (as I have been known to do), your caffeine tolerance will get way out of... More
Great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and some of the best people watching in Texas. Not the best coffee I've ever had but, nowhere near the worst. Of course I'm super critical of coffee so you might like it a little better than I did. Its still waaaaaaay better than the humongous chain with the mermaid... More
The people that work here are jerks. Ordering food or drinks is a three step process. First stop is to get one of the holier than thou hipster employees to acknowledge you, then you slide to the left and are supposed to pay except there was nobody to take my money. I see my drink at the window where you... More
Jo's is in a great location and has terrific coffee. Love the covered patio and sipping a latte reading the paper or people watching. Every time I'm in Austin I stay at either the San Jose Hotel or the Austin Motel - Jo's is perfectly located between the two.
