I am now a believer in the "breakfast taco". Rudy's had corn tortillas available because I am gluten free and they were delicious. They have a cute sign saying "the worst bbq in Texas" - not hardly!

If you are in Austin and don’t have the time to make your pilgrimage to Franklins, do yourself a favor and stop by Rudy’s. During our most recent visit we stayed in North Austin and regularly visited the 11570 Research Blvd location. We've tried pretty much everything on the menu and besides the unnecessary loaf of white bread, loved everything....

Staying with friends in Austin they decided to let us try BBQ. It is something we have never experienced before and we didn't know what to expect. The beef and Turkey was excellent so tender and moist. It is something so different to what we have ever experienced in the UK, but we were so glad we had the chance...

Try the turkey you will not be disappointed. Cream corn is more like creamed heaven. Brisket very good also!
This place just stays the same as it has always been, but that is good. Good food and fast service usually. Some may be annoyed by standing in line for your food, but all of their food choices are well done and the prices are very reasonable.
I'm from Memphis, worked at a BBQ joint there and I LOVE BBQ...I was skeptical when I went to Rudy's not only because I was going to eat BBQ somewhere other than Memphis but it's also a gas station and C-Store...So, I got in line and ordered a little of everything (I was there with my family so I had...

First visit. Very helpful staff. Walk-up counter to order. Sampler offered for first-timers. Settled on Baby-Back Ribs (half slab), beans and cream corm. All were very good and reasonably priced. I will have to go back to try the brisket, regular ribs, and other tasting looking items others were ordering. Everything comes in a basket that carry to your table...

Our friends took us to lunch here right from the airport. The food was amazing. We had a little of everything. The brisket and pulled pork were my favs. The cole slaw was yummy as well. It was a lovely spring day so we ate outside. The prices were quite reasonable as well.
We visited because my husband had their food prior and really enjoyed. The BBQ is so good. The brisket is tender and the smoked turkey a great alternative. The price is right and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing. I highly recommend a visit to Rudy's!
Black and moist brisket is the best! Being from Georgia, I'm partial to pulled pork (try Smokin' Pig, Valdosta, GA, about 1 mile east of I-75 on N Valdosta Rd...it's the best!). Their lean brisket and smoked turkey is also excellent. Sold by the pound, it is cut in front of you (or viewed on the Cut Cam monitor) as...
