Had never had a breakfast taco before and I enjoyed them. The pancakes are another story. I could have eaten my weight in those delicious griddle cakes!
Santa Rita is a sister restaurant to Blue Star and 34th Street and has great simple Tex-Mex good with the best chips anywhere. Located across from Seton Hospital, it is frequently by medical personnel and practically everyone else. This visit I had the enchiladas (beef and cheese) with the normal Tex Mex sauce and my wife had a chicken fajita... More
Went there and it was a neat little Mexican food place. The food was good with some spice, and generous portions. The chips were fresh and hot, so were the tortillas. The house margarita was very good, and strong.. I would visit this place again.
This restaurant is behind Waterloo on38th Street. I have only been there three times but really like the food. They have a lot of variety in their menu and so far it has all been good. The servers are pleasant and answer questions about the menu selection without rushing you.
Surprise! We were in the area, saw Santa-Rita, read Yelp and went in. The chips and salsa were terrific. Baked chips and delicious spicy salsa. A hit. My main course was the Santa Rita Shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and hat a nice kick. The salad was just vinegary enough and full of delightful ingredients
Ate here with my wife for Valentine's. it was our first visit. The food was fantastic. We both had fish tacos. They may be the best in Austin. Loved this restaurant. They even offered my wife a rose. Will definitely go back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
I found this place on Trip Advisor and it was highly reviewed on other sites as well- worth the trip. It's north of downtown but not a bad drive at all, and the large parking lot made finding parking on a Sunday easy. We were sat immediately- though I imagine the wait would be heavy at certain times (I believe... More
Our granddaughters love Santa Rita, where the staff always welcome them and us like family. The food is a happy nostalgia fix for us, who grew up in Texas, but it won't appeal to food snobs. Ask about specials, which are sometimes excellent, and don't pass up the Tres Leches.
We had several things off the menu, but the queso dip was the best. Their drinks were good, but not the best I've had. It was very busy so the initial service was pretty delayed. They do have a great happy hour with daily specials. I had the fish tacos and they were ok (actually better the next day as... More
We eat at Santa Ritas on a regular basis. The food is always tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Even though they refer to themselves as Tex-Mex, many of the dishes are not heavy on the grease. The salsa is outstanding and they keep you well supplied along with chips. Two of our favorites are the Santa Rita #1 plate... More
