Nice food. Be careful with the maitre off the menu suggestions. They are priced above the menu options.

Apart from always seeing some politician having lunch here, they serve a very pleasant cuisine at Piantella, as they have been doing for years now. Very expensive, but Brazil seems to have lost common sense when it comes to prices... They will get back to real life someday.
Expensive but worth it! Quite exclusive. Compares to the best restaurants in Europe. Definitely 5 stars!
Piantella became famous in town because of the usual presence of politicians in there. But that is not the only reason for that fame: food is really good, staff is very kind, formal, educated, gentle, and the environment is very pleasant to stay. They also have a great selection of wine.
Piantella has been around forever. It is a favourite watering hole for politicians, journalists, diplomats etc, especially at lunchtime. The food is good, but in my view not spectacular. The wine list is supposed to be fantastic. Prices are quite high. Frankly, it is more a place for the above-mentioned well-heeled crowd than for tourists staying in Brasilia for a day...
