Though never having eaten yak before and not being able to distinguish it particularly from beef, who knows? It was well cooked, smoky and tasty and served in a great little dining room with a well-stocked bar and a coal fire that gave the place a cosy vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

Good 'backpacker' food of pizza, pasta and of course Yak and pretty prompt service. Clean squat toilet upstairs.

At the center of happenings in Dali ancient town. Nice deco. Good seating arrangement along the narrow renmin road in Dali. Friendly staff and good service. We had Yak Steak - tasty and tender ! Prices are reasonable. A place to visit in Dali ancient town.

We came here for breakfast, there is 7-8 set's for breakfast starting from american till yunnan and all it for 30 yuans. Food was served fast and was tasty. While you wait you can grab abook to read. So this is good choice.

4 visits during my 6 week stay in Dali, and I never got tired of their Yak steak. Juicy, tender, with a side of Yunnan mushrooms - I will come back for more!

Just grabbed an early dinner here, menu includes lots of drinks and western style fare including some Yunnan specialties. I've been ill recently so was very hungry so ordered the yak steak, with mushrooms and strangely, fries. It was very yum and worth the cost, at 55 yuan it's probably one of the more expensive things I've eaten in China... More

We ate here for every meal during our stay in Dali. Only one dish out of many was a little weak, and that was bowl of spinach soup which seemed not as good as the day before when we had it. Otherwise, we liked the place, and the food.
