Went here for breakfast on a short stay in Dali. It was just what we were looking for. I'm not a big fan of Chinese style breakfast, so this was a nice escape. The bread is so fresh and tasty. We even got sandwiches to take away with us for our next journey. Highly recommended café.

Bakery 88 is far from cheap for Dali standards but the food is absolutely delicious , the cafe spotlessly clean and service pretty efficient . We relaxed for two consecutive mornings over breakfast making use of the high speed Internet . The homemade ice cream is excellent , try the Honey and Walnut it's to die for !

I was craving for a piece of chocolate cake. I asked when the cake was made and the waitress told me "today". This was the dryest chocolate cake i have ever eaten. When i told the waitress it was certainly not made today she said "oh but it's not my fault, i asked my boss and HE said today"... Well... More

The place is nice, the pastry is good and the staff is nice. But the prices are way too high if you are interested in some pie or anything out of normal!

The bread is awesome. Try the potato bread with walnut for instance or the Ciabatta's The pastries are all very good, the quality, the taste never too sweet. It is a bit pricy but worth is. You can have breakfast and lunch and perfect coffee. It is a great place to go, sit or for a take away.

We had lunch here twice and the food was excellent. Comfortable surroundings, quiet, airy and perfect for breakfast or a non-Chinese lunch as there is no Chinese food on the menu. Highly recommended but the choice on the menu is relatively limited.

We ate here twice. Sweet and salty options. Tiramisu was awesome! This is a little gem managed by a german owner (I think). After quite sometime in China, we really did appreciate something familiar to our western palate. Completely unexpected in such a small town as Dali. Stop there, for a coffee, a desert, a bit, or all of the... More
