We really enjoyed eating lunch at Hacienda Cusin, so much so that we returned to have supper there the following night. We came across it after a horse riding trip at the hacienda's ranch. The restaurant is set in the beautiful grounds of an old hacienda – perfect for lunch or dinner. There is a bar where you can relax,... More
The Hacienda Cusin restaurant is only one fabulous feature of this 400-year old establishment. They have been hosting visitors for that long since it was on the trade route. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, so try to arrive early, or allow time for a digestive walk around after your meal. The food was excellent and gives a taste of... More
This is an exceptional dining experience from the golden dining-room surrounds, flanked with Flemish tapestries and warming log fire, to the embroidered table cloths, carved wooden serving plates and local floral arrangements. A set menu is offered with plenty of flair and room for individual tastes, vegetarians included! (Also attention to food allergies with advance notice.) The Cusin dining room... More
The winner for me when I go to a unique place is the quality of the food. I heard from friends who have been to Hacienda Cusin that they make clean, fresh, organic food and that their menu is extensive and creative. It was a pleasure to stay there and experience foods made from ingredients from the gardens in the... More
If your children enjoy nature and horses this is the perfect place. We rode every day. The horses were very gentle. The staff were so willing to please you. My family and i had a great time, we did not want to leave! The food was great, I really enjoyed all their soups! The hacienda itself was like a museum,... More

go to Hacienda Cusin to dine amidst Spanish Colonial artwork with attentive and charming waitstaff serving delicious food. My husband and I traveled with friends to Hacienda Cusin. Emphasis was on locally made from the napkins trimmed in lace (I met the Equadorean weaver) to the locally grown vegetables and farm raised meats. Food was delicious with a special Equadorean... More
Dinner at Hacienda Cusin is a treat. Firstly, the food is locally grown, carefully prepared and absolutely delicious Ecuadorean cuisine. We were a group of 12 and we were diverse in many ways - including all ages! (hard for chef's to please!). We dined here on several occasions during our visit to the High Sierra. The dining hall is in... More
Before we had lunch we strolled around Cusin's gardens and Salon Cotacachi which has a great art collection. Food was amazing, fresh and nit. Pablo one of the waiters took our order & made us feel welcome. If you're in Otavalo is a must see place; lunch at Cusin was great!
