A hearty local option right outside the gates to the Taaras resort. Food is decent and priced at about 10% of that in the Taaras. The service is friendly although on the first night they were a little chaotic as the restaurant was crowded. They will also arrange boat trips for you and these are reasonable and "Joe Glamour" is... More

We found this nice restaurant just outside the Taaras. I was tired of the expensive soso food there and we decided to try Aima's. Very tasty traditional Malay food, fresh fish (try the barbecue one with sambal and lime) and roti chennai made on the spot. In four people difficult to spend more than 150 RM. Azman is the owner... We really enjoyed eating in Aima. This restaurant is located just outside Taaras Resort (in the resort, they charge ridiculous prices for their tasteless and small portioned dishes). On the contrary, Aima offers really reasonable prices for its delicious food. They also have a small shop from which you can buy drinks and snacks and other basic stuff. Do not... More

We went there on one evening while staying in Redang Resort/The Taaras. We had chicken curry (7RM) and grilled fish (40 RM, ask for size of fishes in advance). Food was excellent, and at very reasonable prices (especially if compared to the resort). Can definitevely be recommended (along with other options such as Asmati Cafe in the village).
