3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

We went there in December. The place is terribly small, packed with many tables. That itself makes it unpleasant. We did not feel comfortable there and got out as soon as possible. The food is still in the experimental stage for this Chef. The dishes we ordered could be called fusion. But it was like mixing mustard paste with soy... More

Tucked away in a small lane near Ballygunge Phari, BOHEMIAN serves some of the best food that we have tasted in years! Specializing in fusion food, their cuisine consists of basically Bengali food with a continental twist. The idea of bhekti or pabda served with cheese might be unpalatable to some, but thanks to the sheer genius of Chef Joy... More

Location wise ideal, heart of South Kolkata, brilliant ambience, quality & service deserves praise. Cusine selective but with a difference & to top the palate they are served extremely well designed with waiters in proper attire. Makes you feel abolutely at home.

Small restaurant with a good reputation so you really need to call ahead and reserve a table. I had great difficulty in even getting through to them. I have been there twice and I must say the qualit has been uniformly good. Their signature Gondhoraj Julep does live up to to the hype but is a tad expensive! Most of... More

Since this is a small room with barely 6 tabes you generally need to book ahead. Try almost anything in the menu and it will tickle your senses and leave you wanting more. Fusion cuisine is usually dicey to pull off and one risks incurring displeasure in the reveller. Here though one keeps wondering why one didn't think of it... More

I went here recently with my friends, and was delighted with the creative dishes they offer. Their salads are fresh, and I love the taste of "gondhoraj" they blend in so well. The main course, whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian, is delicious and has a generous portion. The desserts are certainly the most innovative, however, we were all happily full to... More

Probably an annexe or a garage renovated to accommodate the restaurant -so it's small and that's what adds to the ambience. The music was rock and the volume was controlled so that one could tune in or switch off. The Feng Shui (?) water body at one end of the room didn't quit fit in and neither didn't " add" to... More

Great great food- Call it East Meets West or Bengalee cuisine with a continental twist and it is done so well you have to go back there once you've tasted the food once. Their Steamed Bhetki with pickled chilly and cheese and Kolmi saag with baked crab in the starters are to die for, as are all the items in... More
