The best xiao long baos I have eaten in my life! Really cheap too. Skip the gigantic nanxiang xiao long baos and visit this place instead.

I think this restaurant deserves an excellent review. As with a lot of places in China you might be deceived by a quick glance inside, it doesn't look like the cleanest or most upmarket place in the world. In fact they have their hygiene certificate on the wall and they definitely didn't get the top marks.... But I didn't get...

I heard about this in one of the US papers and had to go check it out. The food was ok. Everyone says its so spectacular, im not sure why. It was good, dont get me wrong, but it was not out of this world. And there is almost ALWAYS a line outside!
Amazing - light and steamy hot, flavors that are exceptional! Their dumplings remain my favorite in all of SH. Comfortable and easy to get to.
You can get the same quality XiaoLongBao for 6-8 kuai in most neighborhood XLB joints (I am living in Shanghai for 2+ months and tried many of them).
Here you pay 4 times this and pay extra for the ginger. Moreover, you will have to wait in line for at least half hour. The cleanliness and hygiene in this restaurant...

I went to that restaurant after reading the positive feedback from the users, but I just eat some normal dumpling with not too much taste. The location is very chinese and the staff can't speak english.
This is THE best restaurant you can find in Shanghai, I've been there every week for 3 months, and I'm dreaming about their dumplings every single day! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, juicy dumplings, the location is very "chinese"... the price is very good: about 1.5€ for 12 dumplings, you will pay 10€ for the Whole dinner for 2 people including drinks and...

A delicious XiaoLongBao by this famous restaurant indeed, which was recommended by Shanghai's colleagues. Located beside HuangHeLu, will be easily spotted due to the crowd. Felt it's taste better than XLB found at the Old City God temple (very crowded as well) . Among all the XLB, I personally loved the crab meat XLB, by dip it with the vinegar...yummy!
We went here based on the Tripadvisor reviews. They make good dumplings but you can get Shanghai dumplings everywhere, even in southern California. I was hoping these would be far superior, but they are the same as anywhere else. I took a Tripadvisor reviewer's advice and ordered two steamers per person. Way too much food! We left a lot uneaten....

We had our first lunch in Shanghai at Jia Jia Tang Bao. We had read the TA reviews.
It was indeed local and exotic - english not spoken and a very simple English "menu". You line up, and when you arrive at the counter you decide. Not too much time to contemplate the choices due to impatient guests in the...
