This is a clothing store, art gallery and coffee shop all in one. Staff is very friendly and the man in the gallery area took the time to explain things to us thoroughly, Not pushy at all. Can't speak for the food but we took our coffee to go and it was delicious.

Great coffee. Cool, colorful atmosphere. Fantastic, artsy gifts. A really friendly, attentive staff. Needed to get out of the sun for a bit and this was the perfect respite.

Congo Cafe is such a wonderful place for breakfast (I've only had b'fast there). The coffee choices are fabulous - and the rice and beans (which comes with the Congo Tipico) is the absolute best I've ever had. While you wait for your foot, be sure to stroll around the store, the artwork is so beautiful and interesting and unique....

Before this experience I never had a bad cup of coffee in Costa Rica. At least acceptable. besides this one. I ordered a latte. I could not believe my eyes when the coffee machine took about 90 seconds to brew 1 shot of espresso. The end result was bitter and tasteless.

Very nice shop and cafe (we really just had a coffee) were you find good quality souvenirs. They have some amazing things like drawings and wood work which they will also ship to you. We were very impressed because those kind of shops with the quality they offer are not easy to find in Costa Rica. Very nice to shop...
