We had awesome Mediterranean food in Costa Rica at Pita Bonita. I'm always fairly picky about this particular cuisine because my mom is from Istanbul, Turkey and I grew up eating and cooking Turkish food. The hummus, falafel and the chicken shwarma were amazing! They also made fantastic mint lemonade and Mojitos! The owners were so kind and are waitress... More

We ate at Pita Bonita a couple of times during our 2 week stay in Playa Chiquita area. A leisurely walk or short bike ride from where we stayed at El Nido. The falafel plate was fantastic and we highly recommend it. On two occasions we purchased hummus, olives and pita to go which we took back to our place... More

Tasty falafel and lamp-filled pita for dinner. What stood out to me were the drinks: mint lemonade was ultra refreshing and the pina colada was STRONG. Good value.

I lived in Israel, and this is the first authentic food I've had since I've left. The menu is simple but caters to all palettes, including vegetarians. It's a bit pricey, but all the restaurants are in this area, and this food is the best value for money I had while in the Puerto Viejo area.

If I could I would eat at Pita Bonita's every week. I know it's not easy to make Middle Eastern food well, having attempted it whilst living in the Middle East (very labour intensive!) and where I ate a lot of mediocre meals, right where all the ingredients are easily to hand. So I take my hat off to Pita... More

when comparing it to other food of it's kind in the area, I would have to say it is the best...cuz it's the only place like it...that being said it is very good, and the pita bread was fresh and warm, but it was much thicker than any other pita I have ever head. The service was not the friendliest...I... More

Just absolutely delicious! The salads were to die for, the egg and tomato dish (sadly can't remember the name) was YUM, the pita was really light and the mezes were superb.

I can only agree with the other reviewers except that we stay in PV so we have either stopped by in the afternoon on our bikes, or for dinner, taken the 5:15pm buss to Manzanillo and gotten off at the restaurant and then had them call us a cab to get back. Everything we have had here was great!

I have never taken the time to write a review before; however, our dining experience merited one. The food was splendid. The staff was friendly and courteous. One of the owners and her young daughter tended to the guests. The setting was quiet and romantic. My wife and I dined on the chicken schwarma and hummus. The pita for the... More
