I down rated the service only because the staff is so overwhelmed, not because it was bad. Stopped in twice for coffee and pastry, and both mornings the place was jammed...busy, fast-paced and noisy...just what you would expect from a popular cafe.

We loved the food here. There are lots of choices, including choices for a vegetarian (not always easy in Alaska). The atmosphere is fun but casual. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch!

Five of us ate breakfast this morning and all of our food was cold. Pathetic. Only one waitress who became overwhelmed (not her fault) when several tables filled up.
