Doesn't look like much of a place to eat from the outside (or inside for that matter), but the food is very good, carefully prepared and pleasingly presented. I had the veg chili (a first for me) and it was very good, I had the "bowl" and there was plenty, enough to fill me; came with a sliced wheat roll... More

Breakfast quiche was yummy! Went back for lunch the next day and ordered some salads. The salads were not good. Very bland with no flavor and I found a hair mashed into the goat cheese. Service was not friendly. We were yelled at for opening up the patio umbrella for our table on the front patio. Not sure why they... More

Up Tombstone Canyon and out of downtown this little restaurant offers HUGE sandwiches that are a great value. Go inside and place your order. They will deliver it to your table. You pay when you leave. They offer super breakfasts too and sinful desserts. Suggest getting a table outside and enjoying the view of the houses and buildings on Quality... More

They having a changing selection of lunch items and a huge selection of desserts. Plus, the grocery store is very cute and has fun specialty items. This place has a lot of specialty items, health food/ home cooked. Great dinners ready to go or eat in with online menu for meal of the day. Great variety of home baked goodies, breakfast burritos ,Quiche and a section that makes a variety of healthy mixed fruit drinks. No it's not Safeway so if you want cheaper milk or... More

Sandwiches are my favorite at the cafe. The bread is about as close to German bread as it gets. Sandwiches are big and filling. You can sit inside or outside on the Patio. The High Desert has some local veggies and fruit almost year round. Availabe as well wines, cheeses and lots of other good stuff.

I was charged $8 for a quart of milk and a loaf of frozen bread. The prices are not displayed, so they can charge whatever they want. I think they're gouging the tourists

Breakfast at the High Desert was low key and delicious-- this place is what you wish your neighborhood coffee shop would be like! The food was great (we had the quiche and breakfast burrito) and the portions were large. The coffee was good and the service was excellent-- very friendly and outgoing! There were several regulars in the cafe and... More

We walked from our hotel and had a GREAT sandwich while sitting on their cute little outside patio. (They have an inside one too!) Good healthy homemade foods!

Had a wonderful smoothy. They have a good variety of higher end chocolates, cheeses, wines, gluten-free style breads (plus other normal breads). They also have a daily entree to go (or eat in) though we didn't eat any of them we were told they were good.
