This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years now. Family owned and run,it is a superb place to dine.Their waiters are professionally trained and they have a great menu. Must make a reservation,otherwise forget about trying to find a table on the weekend.

Casalinga has transformed over the years from fine dining to a country restaurant. The food is still very good but the abundance of tables has seen a slide in the service levels. Carpacio is still one of the best in Gauteng.

Casalinga is good,it used to be great. But the food is now just okay, the service average and the seating a bit crowded. I believe they have lost the personal touch that came with the owners being more hands-on. I will be going back sometime to see if it was just a "off" night-which can happen.

Despite their rapid growth this is still one of johannesburg's best country restaurants. The ambiance is lovely - a French countryside feel. The food is brilliant and fresh. I recommend their sole, carpaccio and their lemon meringue is to die for. A lovely lunch venue. The service can be slow on Sunday's and holiday's.

Casalinga has maintained its standards for many years now and we have never had a bad meal or experience there. Love it for special occasions! It really is simply the best!!
