Outdated food, service and ambiance. The small crowd were all in their 70's or older. Sad because I live in the neighborhood and I was hoping for a close spot to dine.

Classic French food, good service, a little on the expensive side. Food is not extraordinary., but good.
On February 26, 2013, I took an out-of-town visitor to Voltaire's Restaurant knowing that the individual would appreciate the delightful ambiance, the superb service and the excellent food. As always, the host and maitre d', Martin, warmly greeted us and the evening was off to a great start. The lovely refined atmosphere and quiet surroundings allowed my guest and me... More
We went with our friends who are long time patrons of the restaurant. I had the Le Carre D'Agneau Rack of lamb with tarragon and ate every bite! While the crowd may be on the older side, the place was packed by 6:30 on a Wednesday (and snowy) evening! Wonderful service & wine list.

Monday night is Dover sole Night, prepared table side. It was delicious. The escargot is also terrific.
My wife and I just got home from dinner at Voltaire. The decor is a little dated but the food and service was second to none. My wife had the filet which melted in our mouths and I had the sole which was super. To end the evening we shared the Creme brûlée which was great. You cannot find food... More

The patrons all seemed quite satisfied as I sat and watched as I always do when eating at a new establishment. The servers were all very polite and seemed to... More
Really wanted to like this restaurant as we are Francophile foodies, but... The decor seemed old rather than elegant. A sign over the urinal asking me not to pee on the floor was off putting. Service was friendly but average. Food was good to average. My wife liked the Poulet en Croute. The Canard a L'Orange however that I ordered... More
